About Me

"My love for family histories grows with each new step forward. I hope to share that enthusiasm with you."

When I was a very young child I found a little photo album filled with pictures of my mother and her siblings as children, and even more interesting to me, pictures of my ancestors that I had never even thought of before, like great grandparents. I was fascinated, I wanted to know everything about them, look at all the pictures, and find out all the clues. My grandmother showed me some work her sister had done. It was a little tree of our German side of the family.

I remember memorizing the names. I was fascinated, I wanted to know everything about them, look at all the pictures, and find out all the clues.

I began healing not only my own trauma, but my ancestor's, much later in life when I was finally safe. There is so much to tap into and learn from those who lived before us, and on the other side of the coin, so much to unlearn and heal.

My grandmother showed me some work her sister had done. It was a little tree of our German side of the family. I remember memorizing the names. I always came back to that information until the itch to know more pushed me to get an ancestry.com subscription when I was 15. I had no idea what I was doing, but I wanted to learn. It gave me so much joy to discover new information, and eventually I started doing research for my friend's families. Now, about 10 years later, I am here with you. How exciting! My love for family histories grows with each new step forward. I hope to share that enthusiasm with you.

I started going to therapy at the age 7, and have gone regularly since I became an adult. It was easy for me to see the cycle of abuse trickle down through my family tree, and that this was bigger than just what happened to me. There is so much to learn that I'd be honored to find with you.
